About
LITANGEN - Kjell Harald Litangen - Norwegian guitarist/ songwriter has for years been one of Norway’s most sought after session guitarists. He has performed and recorded with artists such as Maria Mena, Ole Edvard Antonsen, LidoLido, Rebekka Bakken, Kjetil Bjerkestrand, Johnsen/Nordberg, Sissel, Adam Douglas, Rita Eriksen, John Miles, Kurt Nilsen, Frode Alnæs and Al Jarreau, and in tv shows like “The Late Show with David Letterman”, “Skavlan” and “The Nobel Peace Prize Concert”.
His very first solo project was written and recorded in his home studio outside Oslo during the coronavirus lockdown in 2020. Musical freedom - no rules was LITANGEN’s main focus for this album project. The debut album “Diversions” is a collection of 12 original compositions - instrumental guitar/string based music influenced by various genres of music - which is to be heard by soundscape melting pots of instruments like oud, banjo, mandolin, bouzouki, lap steel, guitalele, dulcimer aside electric and acoustic guitars.

The second album “A Fine Line” was released september 17th, featuring some very special guests like trumpet virtuoso/conductor Ole Edvard Antonsen.
This album has a more electric voice and seeks more into melody and improv in the way it has been written.

"Before I Go" is the first single from my new album " A Fine Line" which is scheduled for release sept 17.
The song sets focus (for me) on the feeling you get when you have to leave someone or something, but your heart tells you otherwise, and it features my long time friend and wonderful musician Kjetil Dalland.

My debut album "Diversions" out today.
12 songs that i´ve played, written, arranged and produced in my homestudio in Asker, outside Oslo under the coronavirus lockdown. The songs is based on musical ideas that i´ve recorded and collected on my phones over the last 10 years or so, so i am very happy to finalize them into this product!
The album is a very much stringoriented album as i have used everything from bouzouki, oud, guitalele, mandolin, lap steel, banjo aside various electric and acoustic guitars.
